Shopify Users Rely on A/B Tests

Shopify users across the board rely on A/B tests (or split tests) to effectively run their e-commerce brands. Running content tests is critical for users to make the most of each site visitor so that they can maximize profit. Business owners are able to find images, value propositions, site designs, and details down to fonts and button colors that best resonate with viewers. At its core, a split test enables you to analyze multiple variations of your web page, like landing pages or home pages. Its essential purpose is to help users figure out which option yields a higher conversion rate. In other words, which one turns a potential customer into a buyer. 

What is Google Optimize? 

Google Optimize has long been one of the most popular tools for performing split tests on content analysis. Google Optimize runs a variety of tests, including A/B tests, multivariate tests, and redirect tests. Most notably, the platform is free, no doubt a very appealing factor. The site itself is set to sunset at the end of September. With this in mind, many alternative platforms are trying to step up to replace them.

One alternative for Google Optimize users is to attempt a “do it yourself” method. They are likely the most full-featured A/B testing platforms, but may be overkill for a lot of Shopify stores that are looking to run smaller scale tests. Some drawbacks include:
